Uplift in the eastern Coast Ranges and homoclinal tilting of the mountain front result primarily from the growth and propagation of an eastward tapering triangle zone. Folding along the eastern mountain front is believed to be due east-vergent blind thrusting within the triangle (After Unruh et al., 1992). |
